Many instances, the number of aspirants to offices in the government of a democratic society are more than
the available posts. Leadership selection in such situations especially in Africa depicted unhealthy rivalry, dishonesty, dissensions, partisan politics, fracas, tribalism, favoritism, fraud and even religious
divisions.
This has led to divisions and disunity between the leaders and the followers. There is the need for gracious succession that would keep the unity of the country in the bond of peace among the people irrespective of diverse political parties and ideologies. What are the involvements and how do we go about new appointment and selection of new leaders in Africa?
